Visual Communication (Graphic Design)

A Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Visual Communication (Graphic Design) equips you with the skills and knowledge to create visual concepts and messages that inform, persuade, and engage audiences. By the end of the program, you'll be a skilled graphic designer with a strong foundation in visual communication principles, ready to pursue a rewarding career in various design fields.

The Graphic Design program focuses on the core skills needed to create effective visual communication. Students build a strong foundation in drawing, visual aesthetics, and the principles of design like form, proportion, and imagery. They practice these skills through a variety of projects, specializing in areas like typography, layout, illustration, photography, and branding.
The program goes beyond technical skills, exploring the cultural and historical context of design, as well as the social and ethical considerations behind design choices. This fosters critical thinking, research skills, and creative problem-solving, preparing graduates to think like professional designers. Graduates are well-positioned for careers at design firms or to launch their own creative ventures.
