Animation Film Design

A Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Animation Film Design equips you with the skills and knowledge to create captivating animated films and visual narratives. By the end of the program, you'll be a well-rounded animation filmmaker with a strong foundation in various animation techniques, storytelling, and visual design, ready to embark on a career in the exciting world of animation film design.

LID's Animation Film Design program empowers students to become masters of visual storytelling through animation. They delve into the rich heritage of Indian subcontinent's art, music, and storytelling traditions. The program balances classic drawing and animation techniques with cutting-edge digital tools, equipping students to create original short animated films and graphic novels.
Graduates go on to forge exciting careers. Many find placements in production houses, TV channels, animation studios (both independent and digital gaming), and even UI/UX and e-learning companies. A growing number of ambitious alumni choose to launch their own studios, becoming key players in the thriving Indian animation industry.

The world of animation is constantly evolving, so being tech-savvy and eager to learn new software is a big plus. But remember, animation is a team effort. This program thrives on those who can collaborate effectively with other animators, directors, and sound designers to bring their films from concept to breathtaking reality.
