The Animation Design program starts with a foundation in design principles to give students a strong base. They also explore communication in a social and cultural context. Later semesters focus on hands-on learning through workshops and projects. Students experiment with various animation techniques like 2D, 3D, and stop-motion to bring their stories to life. The program goes beyond the classroom with activities like film clubs, field trips, and guest lectures, enriching the student experience. This combination of strong fundamentals, practical application, and diverse exposure helps students create award-winning original animation projects. The department also connects students with the international animation community through the Chitrakatha festival, fostering exchange and inspiration.
